Medical School Update....

Ok.. so here's the news you've all been waiting for! Danny has decided to accept his admission to University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine!! We will be moving to that sunny island in august. He decided that it would be better for our kids to grow up learning spanish while they are young so we have decided not to go the DC route. I'm pretty excited as it will give me a chance to practice my spanish while not being in a scary third world country. So now that it will be a fun sunny place you all need to come visit!

A Trip to the ER...

So this last Thursday I started feeling sicker and sicker as the night went on. I am a firm believer that things have to be pretty bad to go to the ER at night. Well they got worse and my cute husband had enough of me complaining about the EXTREME pain I was in so he took me to the U of U ER. The funny thing was that we got stuck behind ambulances twice! haha I felt like we were following them in our own little ambulance car.
So all is well in Zion now and the pain has subsided for the most part. However the trip I think confirmed in Danny's mind that he no longer is interested in becoming an ER doc after all the WT people we had to hang out with till 2am. Plus the nurse that was helping me was a mix between the "Meet the Fockers" guy and the rolling stones lead singer with the big mouth.. can't remember his name. It was pretty comical. Especially since he gave me 2 loratab when he wasn't suppsoed to .. which gave me the giggles all night and I'm sure the doc thought I was crazy cuz I couldn't remember my symptoms so Danny had to keep filling them in. Then on the way out there was the cutest little nurse that I swear was like 4'6'' and I just wanted to reach out and pat her on the head.. Danny helped me resist. Needless to say the peeps in the ER that late are not really Danny's style so I'm thinking this was a good thing career wise for him to see what life as an ER doc would be like.. so really I was doing him a favor by being sick! haha
Anyway all in all it was an intersting night in the adventures of Morgan & Danny. Thankfully I am getting over what I had (my first UTI...booo)and hopefully will never have to experience something like that ever again.. OUCH!

EAGeR Study

A lot of you know I work in the OBGYN Research department at the U.

There is a current study called "EAGeR" (The Effect of Aspirin in Gestation and Reproduction).
It is a study that helps women that have suffered from 1 or 2 pregnancy losses become pregnant again.
The study is awesome! We give the women who enroll a home fertility monitor that tracks when they ovulate, (so this can shorten the length of time it takes them to get pregnant), pregnancy tests, an extra ultrasound if they do become pregnant, payment for participation, emotional support, and lots of other great stuff. We have been able to help many women that have had losses, have successful pregnancies.

The reason why I am posting this information, is because we are currently looking for women that may be interested in joining this study. So, if you know of anyone that has suffered from a pregnancy loss and would like to be pregnant again, have them call us!

Polish Wedding!

So last night i finished this cake for my friend Magda. She is from poland and such an amazing person! She had seen another cake I made and requested a cake for her friend's wedding. Her friend is Polish as well and is having her civil wedding TODAY and then a bigger wedding in Poland in April. To make it super special Magda had me make a cake for their big day. I think it turned out pretty cute! Even though it's not a huge wedding it still made me nervous to make a cake on the "wedding scale" I think I may stick to simpler themes in the future but what do you think? Honest opinions please :)

A Happy 2 Years!!

We made it! 2 years!! Yea!!

Although it was a little different than what we had expected Danny and I had
the best Anniversary get away weekend ever! We went to the Yardley Inn and Spa in Manti... the drive was beautiful and we even saw a coyote on the way! We got to spend some fun time relaxing and watching movies in our huge "moonlight & roses" theme room. There was a little older lady that ran the place and she had the chef make us the most healthy yummy breakfast in the morning and even gave us a hug before we left! Although there isn't much to Manti we had a great getaway together.
I am so happy that we have been married for 2 years! I couldn't have asked for a better husband than my best friend Danny. I love you!
