What's going to happen!?

Hm... what's going to happen this weekend?! No one seems to know.  After an earthquake on Tuesday with little after shocks the past few days.  We are now faced with a hurricane that nobody can say for sure how it will affect the area where we live.  The shelves have been wiped clean of supplies, I'm glad we have food storage and are ok.  It's interesting to see what chaos and panic sets in because people aren't prepared.   I've even had to tell people at work about 72 hr kits and how they should be ready for power outages, food shortages, etc...  I think they are all in denial.  At least Danny and I are prepared :)  I made sure we have a full tank of gas, water, food and some cash just in case we need to head for the hills!

Random notes:
I was doing a meeting house search on LDS.org and came across this view of all the LDS meetinghouses in the world!! It's inspiring to see how far reaching the gospel of Jesus Christ is.  And I'm a part of it! Yea!!

Random rant #2
I went to my OB/GYN appt yesterday since I have to go every 2 weeks.   After MANY visits of "everything is perfect" (I'm 33 weeks now) one of the Dr's told me that I had gained too much weight and that I needed to be very careful.   Really?!?!??! I've only gained 24lbs according to their scales... (21 according to mine!) and it's either water weight or all belly.  I really couldn't believe that she was seriously getting on my case about gaining too much weight.  I can't really go work off the calories at the gym like I used to so I'm not quite clear on how I'm supposed to keep off gaining anymore unless I eat like a bird.   Which at this point is not going to happen.  I mean I haven't been eating for two at all, I've been VERY careful with my portions and only allowed myself a treat here and there.  What was worse is that I feel healthy and wanted to punch her in the nose for pointing out that I'm overweight in front of my husband. It's one of 2 appts he's been able to attend and she has to bring up my weight issue in front of him!!  ... I'm freaking pregnant and have never gone through this before, how am I supposed to know how much my body should our shouldn't gain?!  grrr...  That's my random rant for today....

UPDATE:

I went to my next Dr's appt 2 weeks later had only gained barely a pound and the other physician told me I was right on and was super excited that I had kept my weight so low my entire pregnancy!!  Geeze the difference between the two Dr's was amazing...   I had stressed about it for 2 weeks and then was told that I was right on for my entire pregnancy.  It's now been another week since that appt and I'm the same weight.  Hopefully this will be the trend for the last 4 weeks! Woot Woot! No one wants extra baby weight... and I don't plan on packing it on any time soon :)  YEA!!

Don't fret about the weight thing, I get it EVERY time and it is the stupidest thing to tell a pregnant woman!! If you have only gained 21/24 lbs you are ROCKIN it girl!! I gained 70 with Joe, 50 with Sam, and 45 with Mark. Some women just gain weight! I ate pretty well with Mark and Sam, (as you can see with Joe I did eat for 2) but water, hormones, all that jazz just adds up to weight you can't account for. Just ignore the doc, it's just something they have to say probably to avoid some type of HMO or something. By the way, right after you have the baby, 20 lbs gone! Instantly! It's amazing. so just ignore them, they probably went out and smoked a cigarette right after they told you that!

I just tyoed a big comment, and it got erased, so I will type it again. What I said was. . . just IGNORE that BS from the docs. I get that lecture with every pregnancy and they usually have me see a diatician each time also. I don't know why you would tell a pregnant woman to watch her weight. I understand the need to be healthy during pregnancy but weight is all hereditary and based on so many different things like water weight, hormones etc. I gained 70 lbs with Joe, 50 with Sam, and 45 with Mark. I ate healthy with Mark and Sam (as you can see I pigged out with Joe) but my body just puts on weight that I can't help. So just nod and smile and say OK when they say watch the weight because if you have only gained 21/24 lbs that is right where you are supposed to be. You rock that belly baby! and the cool thing too, right after you have the baby, 20 lbs GONE instantly! It's pretty cool.
