A Fun Visit!

So my fun friend Tiff, her hubby Shawn and cute little girl Lucky came down from NYC for a couple of days for business and we had to take advantage of a little time to hang out!! We went down the the mall to see the DC sites. It was fun just hanging out!

I couldn't get enough of this girl! She is so so so adorable and fun!

Some little girls gave Lucky some crackers to feed the ducks with them!

Yep I love this little one!

The Crazyyyy squirrel. He almost jumped in Tiff's bag trying to get some of her fish crackers! It was so hilarious.. in the pic below we all thought Tiff was going to lose a finger! hahaha

We ended our fun with a little dinner at the cheesecake factory. Thanks for hanging out with us guys! We love you!! xoxox

Cupcakes Anyone?!

So we've been invited to our first LDS-Med student get together and I was asked to bring a dessert so I thought I'd try a new recipe or two.. carrot cake cupcakes and dark chocolate cupcakes. So now they are done and waiting to be eaten and I want to eat them all before the BBQ!! I love cupcakes!

Welcome to our New Condo!

Welcome to our new Casa! We have enjoyed city living so far. I don't think I could live here forever but it's nice to be in a safe good area. Plus we have the benefit of being close to Danny's school ;) Enjoy the pics!

We have a large kitchen which is nice if I want to make cakes here!

Since we only have one bedroom I'm glad that it's super spacious. It's a nice little relaxation area after a crazy day.

Every Girls dream.. walk in closet!! Yea!! Room for my shoes!

This is one of my fav new decorations the Dresser! We just got this from Ikea and I don't know why but I just love it so much! It's white and fresh looking and has the perfect amount of space for our extra clothes. Anyway who would have thought that I would get so excited about furniture.. haha Now on to the next and BEST part of our condo... THE VIEW!

We love our large Living Room Window! I can see the storms roll in, the sunset/sunrise and I put my treadmill right by the window so when it's stormy outside I can pretend like i'm still out there! :)

We also have a large balcony. The pic below is actually looking to downtown DC.. we can see the capital building and the washington monument in the distance. The building in the middle of the picture is actually exactly what our building looks like minus about 9 levels :) We only have 16 floors the one in the pic has around 25!

Where to start?!

A little update...
So In the past two months Danny and I have been to Spain, found an apartment in DC, gone back to Utah to pack, drove ourselves and everything we own across the country, unpacked and gotten into our new apartment, and today.. after all that DANNY STARTED MEDICAL SCHOOL!! I am so thrilled for him and am so happy that I get to be a part of his new adventure. So as I have time I'll be updating my blog with everything mentioned above in chronological order so you'll have to periodically check older posts if you want to see our past adventures. However for now we are very ready to start the next 4 years in DC :)

White Coat Ceremony... He's going to be a doctor!

The moment we've all been waiting for has finally arrived! The white coat ceremony symbolizes the entrance into the "doctor in training" world. It is a celebrated event in which family and friends are invited to attend. Thinking back on the past few years of marriage, through medical school applications, interviews, and finally acceptance it has been a long road to finally get to this very day. However, it's important to note that even before we were married Danny was preparing to become a doctor. He has literally been wanting this day to come since he was in elementary school. I am so proud of him for sticking with it. Looking forward to the next four years I know that his hard work will continue to pay off. I couldn't ask for a better husband and I am so thrilled that he is now able to realize his dream of becoming a doctor as he enters into medical school. The white coat ceremony was a night of mixed emotions for me as I realize now that I will see my husband less and less but I know that he is doing something he truly loves which is what matters most to me in the long run. Congratulations honey on passing one milestone. I can't wait to support you through the rest that are sure to come your way!! For now all I have left to say is Graduation in four years here we come!!

His coat! It's official.

Danny with the students waiting for the ceremony to begin. My mom just had to take a pic and give him a roll of life savers while he was waiting for his name to be called. Thanks mom!

SUPER excited for Danny and waiting for the ceremony to begin.

The ceremony starts with speakers from the school's administration followed by the actual ceremony. In this ceremony they read off where/what the student studied, hometown, and something unique.
Dannys: Weber State University from Layton, UT where he graduated with a bachelors of integrated studies in Microbiology, Chemistry and Spanish. He loves to ski and is married with no children yet :)

Can you tell he's excited?! So after Danny's white coat ceremony we had to celebrate "Danny Style" with some east coast crabs. It was hours of fun cracking crabs and just hanging out together. Danny was able to teach everyone the proper way to crack a crab and we all had a great time!

Group Photo before the mess began. We went with my parents and my bf Aly and hubby Andrew. Thanks for a SUPER fun night guys!!
