Ryan & Heather's Wedding in PA

Danny & I drove to Carnegie, PA for the wedding of his Med School buddy Ryan. Another friend from his class drove up with us so we had a great time in our little party crew. The wedding was so beautiful! It was in this adorable historical church. Above is the wedding party waiting for the gorgeous bride to come down the isle.

Here she comes! Heather was just stunning and oh so happy!! Adorable xoxo

After the wedding we went to a restaurant/restored antique home and had a cocktail hour with finger food and this whole room of treats!! Yep... itallian specialty treats!! There were little plastic baskets that you were supposed to fill up with these tiny delicious treats. YUM..

My favorite were these little treats that looked like tiny peaches!! They were like little eclairs but better!

Danny & Shawn.. not sure why danny's leg looks fake.. haha..

The BEAAUTTIFULLL decorations.

The two happy couples : ) See Above & Below!

So in love..

Independence Day in the Nations Capitol!

Happy 4th of July from the Nation's Capitol!! Danny and I went to the capitol lawn and watched the 4th of july concert with David Archueletta, Gladys Knight, Hootie & the Blowfish, Reeba McIntire, & LingLing. It was really fun!! We had a little picnic and enjoyed the great outdoors. Then the fireworks began and we were in the wrong spot!! boo!! So the trees were covering our view and we all ran for the sidewalk and watched the fireworks above the Washington Monument. Once we could see them it was incredible!!

I feel so blessed to live in a free country! I love the USA and am very PROUD to be an American! May we stay faithful and true enough to deserve and keep the bounteous blessings we have been given to be called an American.

Ocean City, MD Our last stop....

After flying home from Florida we had to take one more adventure with my parents so we took them to the beach!! Ocean City, MD is about 3 hrs away so we headed on over!! We had a great time hanging out at the boardwalk and looking in all the shops.

My mom found a painting she liked at the Famous Ocean city Gallery. I have a painting from there when I was dating Danny and went out to meet his extended family :)

My dad was trying to avoid the water and pick up some fun shells for my Mom. :)

They both still got pretty wet! Side note: the water was ICE cold!!

The guys had to try out the strength Toro!! They both made it about halfway.. kinda weak. haha jk

The way they test it is by squeezing the bulls horns together.

Then I caught my mom at her guilty pleasure.. the lottery.. hm...
Update: She didn't win. That's what you get for playing the lottery mom!!

Then we had to get some crabs!! We went to the Crab Bag and ate to our hearts content!

Then one last min run before leaving we stopped at Thrasher's fries.. Yes I dream about these things!! They are Fresh Made have malt vinegar and are delicious!! The bucket they gave us was a little much however I think the guys enjoyed them too!!

Overall we had a GREAT time with my parent's and as I was starting to feel a little homesick they came out and saved the day!! I love how they like to get out and travel. I think that's where I got my travelbug from. I love to experience new places & people and I'm so happy that my parent's taught me to appreciate that. Thanks for a great trip!! Love you guys oxoxo

Barefoot Bay, Florida

Happy Memorial Weekend!! Danny and I flew to Florida for the memorial weekend to spend it with his Granny Dee & Steve! We had a great time. They let us stay in their rental home since the "snow birds" that were living there just went back to Arizona. It was a beautiful place to stay and we had a GREAT time with them!! Everyday they took us to a new restaurant and then we would hang out until late at night chatting it up and learning all about them. Danny has only had the chance to see his Grandma a handful of times so it was nice to spend some quality time there. Her hubby now, Steve isn't Danny's biological Grandpa however he is a super great guy!! He is very thoughtful and hilarious! Since Granny Dee had just fallen a broke some ribs a few days before we got there it was somewhat hard for her to get around. So Steve took us to the Memorial Day celebration in the Park. It was really neat as all the war Vets had on their uniforms and the service was nice. Steve even wore his air force basebal cap from his days in the service.

One of the restaurants we went to Granny Dee decided to order us FROG LEGS!! Wow... very tender and a little tasteless but I can say that I've tried them now! She was so funny cuz there were some hot peppers in a pickle jar on the table and she had to try one. So she popped open the lid and bit down on a whole one... then the burn set in. She was oooing and ouchinggg then she passed one to Steve to try and he did.. then his burn set in. Really they were making me laugh pretty hard!! She is such a spunky lady and I'm feel so blessed to have spent such a long and great weekend with them ( Thurs-Tues)

At night I mentioned that we would sit around and chat. Well we would either go to their home or they would come to the rental. On the nights we got to go to their home we got to have the pleasure of chatting with Randy. Her bird of who knows how many years. He is so funny!! He will say good night when you put the cover on his cage for the night, he knows when it's "happy hr" and will say " Happy Hour.... " He whistles and is just a smart little bird!!

Granny Dee & Randy

Me & Steve

Danny with his sweet little Granny Dee! She is so tiny. I think she said that she weighed only 85lbs!! Anyway we always keep her in our prayers and are happy to inform everyone that she is doing much better and is now in Physical Therapy and regaining her balance again. She had to start using a walker which she hated however I think it has helped.

A couple days while Granny Dee and Steve were taking a nap we went exploring and found the beach!! Since the town were were staying in (Micco, FL) is full of retired people there was NOONE on the beach over memorial weekend!! We thought it would be packed but it was just amazing to have the beach all to ourselves!! To get to the beach you have to cross over a little bridge and one either side are mansions many that are second homes to some celebrities. We also found the bird refuge and went hiking through the jungle a bit another day. It was truly a relaxing weekend.

No One for Miles!! :)

The rental home that we stayed in was right on the edge of this HUGE pond!! It was cool to hear all the different birds and we got to see a few fishing in the pond!

The whole house is full of windows & mirrors to enjoy the pond.

This is the sundeck where we would hang out with Granny Dee & Steve.

So the whole time Granny Dee was craving a lemmon merange pie. So every restaurant she would ask if they had it and they would never pull through for her. So one afternoon while they were taking a nap (their naps were abou 5 hrs hehe) I decided that I would make her a pie!! I've never made a pie before. So I went to the local grocery store and found a cookbook since we had NO access to the internet all weekend (good and bad) and I found a pretty decent version of a chocolate merenge and decided to alter it a bit to create a lemmon merenge. I also found some old mixing beaters in her home that worked on a prayer and forgot to take a pic of the finished product!! So after we enjoyed some pie I took a pic before we left. Dee loved it so much she at about 1/4 of the pie that night!

After saying Good bye we drove to the Orlando Airport. I wanted to get something from Disney for my co-workers so we headed into Disneyworld but with time Not on our side we decided to head back to the airport. I ended up finding some treats at the Disney store in the airport so all was well :)

Oh yea and we visited NASA! haha jk.. it was a NASA airport store... :)
