Monet to Picasso from the Cleveland Museum of Art

Last night we were able to attend the Monet to Picasso exhibit at the University of Utah Fine Arts Museum. It was so beautiful and fun to go. We got a discount on tickets through my work so we decided to go. My favorite was the Picasso during his "blue" era right after his friend died. To not put nudity on my blog I won't post the picture that was my favorite but I really admire his symbolism and how his work changed depending on his own emotional era. Danny's favorite artist is Dali who is from Spain. His work is very abstract and the one that we saw I posted below. All in all it was a fun and culturally enriching experience.

I've heard that exhibit is really neat, we got to see lots of Picasso & Dali work when we were in Spain 2 yrs ago (since they're both from there). In the town Picasso was born (Malaga) they have a few really neat museums and galleries of his work, unfortunatly we only got to see one of them because museums are closed on Monday's and we went to see them on Monday - guess we know better for the next time.

I think you should post the picture. As a daughter of a Humanities professor, I would say, "it's ART, who cares if someone's nude!" ;) That's awesome that you got to go see the exhibit. I LOVE Picasso, and got to see "The Guernica" when I was in Spain. Yes, you HAVE to go there, especially since Danny served his mish there and since you Habla espanol tambien, chica!
