He Did It!!

After 2 months of studying everyday from 9am-10ish pm... The big day of Danny's (8 hour!!!) Board Step 1 Test came and he was ready!!  This is him after the test with a melted brain and a happy smile :)   I don't think I could have put in the dedicated hours that he did and I am so proud of him for working so hard.  I know it will pay off in the end.  We appreciate everyone's love, prayers & support during the past couple crazy months!!
xoxo
Morgan

PS... Don't you just love the "study beard" he grew over the 2 months of studying?!  I think it's adorable in a mountain man kinda way  hehe

21 week Ultrasound

Looks like we still have a healthy baby girl on our hands!! I am always stressed out before every ultrasound we go to that something is going to be wrong.  I think the last pregnancy really scarred me for life.. anyway I'm relieved to report that all her measurements were normal and she is one healthy happy bouncing baby!! Her head is right on my bladder and she loves to keep her hands by her face and punch me any chance she's awake :) haha.. and We love her already!!

She kept moving so this was the best 3-d pic the tech could get... one thing I noticed were her thick lips!! Not sure if it's the shadowing or the angle but she's gonna be adorable!!
Little arms + hands..  so fun!!
 Five fingers ;)
Ok so this is kind of a scary pic since it's a skull shot but I also love it because her hands are on her face and I can see the outline of her tiny fingers.
Profile shot.. with a cute little button nose
Chubby baby leg... she now weights a whopping 1 lb! haha
This is my favorite pic... I love her little foot!!  I just want to squeeze it right now

This is another foot shot peeking around the corner.. just cute little toes...
We are so thrilled for our family to grow.  It's been Danny and I for the past 4 1/2 years and so it will be a big change to have a little one but I think she will bring such joy to our lives that we can't wait to meet her!!   Now just to figure out the name thing.. we are still unable to really fall in love with any name at this point.

Aly's Baby Shower

My Best Friend from BYU Aly lives out here in DC with me... and we are pregnant together!! I'm about 2 1/2 months behind her and insisted that I was the one to throw her baby shower.  She is having a boy and I'm having a girl.. I'm sure they are destined to be soul mates hehe :)  Anyway Aly is doing a Beach theme in the baby's room so I thought I would match it with a fun beach shower!!   My wonderful cousin Monica made this cute sign which really tied the whole thing together.
I will now take you on a tour of the table..  I made these little utensil holders out of real tiny starfish and scrapbook paper.

The delicious Cinnamon rolls were made my Aly's cousin Seabreeze

We also had Blueberry yogurt parfait cups that were fun to make... a first for me!
One of Aly's traditions is to have Angel food cake for birthday's so I made little angel food cake cupcakes with home made raspberry jam in the middle and topped with a sweet glaze. I'll post the recipe later :)
Fresh Lemon & Orange Italian soda with some chocolate covered strawberries.

To top it all off was a delicious sausage & spinach quiche.  YUM!!
The layout was so big I couldn't get a pic of the table straight on but I think this does the feast justice :)  We all had a great time!!

Money basket & Party Favor's table.

I found these silver starfish charms on etsy and thought they would be the perfect party favor to thank everyone for coming.
Love this girl!!
Seabreeze playing the game The Price is Right!! I stole my game ideas from a baby shower I recently went to for a friend in my ward and thought they would be perfect for Aly.

The other game we played I had called Aly's mom to find out how she was as a baby so later she could compare with Maddox :)  I can't find a copy of the questionnaire but it was a fun one to see how Aly is just as social and fun to be around today as she was as a child :)

Then it was time for gifts!! I think little boy clothes are just so dang adorable!! How fun!!

Aly +  Seabreeze

Jenny was nice enough to let us use her home... and wow was there were a house full of women... too bad I didn't get pics of everyone together.

The preggo girls!!  I hate that I'm the type of person that gains weight in my face!! blah!!  I've only gained a few pounds so far and I swear at least 3lbs are in my cheeks!! haha
Karissa on the left used to be my sweet Visiting Teacher/Friend and then she moved from Virginia to Maryland and is now in Aly's ward! It was so fun to see her!!  She was a sweet heart during all my fertility drama and is such a fun person to be around. Also just found out that her husband is bff's with my brother-in-law's brother! Small world!
Aly & Michelle.. they are across the way neighbors and have become good friends out here as well.

Overall I had a great time throwing Aly's shower and am so SAD that she's moving in a couple weeks!!! I can't believe how blessed I've been to have her out here for the past 2 years.  Hopefully I can make the trip up to Connecticut to see her, baby, & Andrew often!

Random fact.,... Aly + I met in 2000 during my first year at BYU when we were put together as apartment roomies along with 4 other girls.. I have since stayed in contact with all those girls and love them all dearly!!

20 weeks

Here it is.. my buddah belly!  I hate that when I gain weight it all goes to my face. Anyway...for my future reference... as of this pic I am 20 weeks, gained 8 lbs (I swear 2 of those are in my cheeks! haha), my feet have started swelling up due to the humidity and my energy is coming back!  2nd trimester is going great!!

She's growing! Also this week I have really started to feel her kicking off and on.. fun fun!

Dad receives Governor's Award for Excellence

DTS Employees Receive Governor's Awards for Excellence
DTS employees Dwight Galloway, Jim Matsumura, Tim Cornia, Greg Jackson, and Nick Alleman were recipients of the Governor's Awards for Excellence during a ceremony at the Governor's mansion last week. The awards are an annual event to recognize the contributions of state employees in the categories of innovation and efficiency, leadership, and outstanding public service and humanitarianism. The award recipients were selected as examples of distinguished service and dedication to the citizens of Utah.

Dwight was given the Innovation and Efficiency award for his work on the Pre-Admission Screening Resident Review (PASRR) Team for the Department of Human Services. Dwight worked with the team at DHS to design an online application for the PASRR program that directly impacts the quality of life for individuals. The online application has increased efficiency and reduced work load by automating the management of paper, and individuals are placed faster from the hospital to a nursing facility.

Jim, Tim, Greg, and Nick were given the Innovation and Efficiency award for their work on the Data Center Consolidation. Each team member would agree that without the skill and hard work of their associates at DTS, this project would not have progressed as substantially and successfully as it did.
Thank you to all DTS employees for their work on these 2 projects. Please join me in congratulating these 5 individuals for this great achievement.
