So today was day two in barcelona. In the morning we went to a cathedral called Sagrada Familia which is an amazing cathedral that they have been building for 100 + years! and it´s still under construction. w e ate lunch outside at a cute spot and watched the builders. Then we went to park guell which is full of mosaic (mom you are going to love the pics) and that was a super fun hike and view of the whole city. Then we went down to an apartment building constructed by gaudi and walked along admring the fun buildings and taste testing all the yummy treats of spain. Then we bumped into a cathedral in the gothic district and the highlight of the night was finding a doner kabab place! YUMMYYYY i can now see why this was Bob´s favorite place to eat!
Danny had some sort of meat salad. He was pretty happy about it too!

Fanta Limon with whatever they gave me.. I LOVE Fanta Limon!

The last part of the hike up the never ending road had an escalator! WHEW! It was quite a climb.

7/4/09 Happy 4th of JULY!!
Day three. . still alive! Yea! It's Beach DAY!
Today we went to the beach in the morning.. yes it was somewhat topless.. a bit of a shock to me! Anyway it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be but was still a shock to see people hanging out topless and no one seemed to care. Anyway after the beach we went to Mont Juic and saw the museum and hiked up to the top where we could see out over the whole city. Lance Armstrong is coming through to do a charity bike ride so we also watched the qualifying bikers ride for a bit and went to palau de san Jordi at the top of the hill and a band was practicing for tonight so we hung out for a bit and enjoyed the view and music. It was super fun! Then we headed back into town where we checked out the bus station for tomorrows venture and then went down to the ramblas to do some shopping! There is a new trend here of parachute pants so of course I had to get some to fit in! heheh I got some red shorts that are parachute pants. They are awesome! Anyway then we wandered around a bit and enjoyed the city, got a doner kabab sandwich YUMMY and took the metro + bus back to our hotel. It’s pretty far away from the city center but is still a very nice hotel and worth the safety.
