Today was a very nice Sunday here in spain. We woke up early in the morning and took the metro to the train station and headed off to Tarragona (Danny's first area in the mission). Then we had a 30 min hike/walk with all of our suitcases in search of the hotel which we eventually found... haha I think Danny thought we were missionaries that are used to walking a lot! Oh well it all worked out and after checking into the hotel early we were off to church. The chapel was packed. Danny was super surprised to see so many people and was super happy that he remembered so many of the members and their names/stories. Also there were a lot of members that remembered him! It was also really nice since today was fast sunday to hear their sweet testimonies and be a part of the spirit that was in the meeting. They seemed like a real ward "family" in that little chapel. I loved it. I made friends with a girl from Uraguay in Relief Society and had a nice meeting in there about all the times we've seen & felt love. It was fun to hear them all share experiences about their children and about how much they loved each other as members of the church. Such amazing and humble people. Then one member (Jordi’s Family) family invited us to dinner after church, Familia Concernau. They actually have the missionaries over every sunday for dinner so we headed up to their house with the missionaries and all ate dinner. They are a very special family and also have two foster kids that the constantly rotate through. So amazing. Mary Jo would have loved their yard too... they had all sorts of different trees and vegetation that was planted perfectly with the landscape :) Anyway after dinner danny and i came back to the hotel and decided to keep with tradition and take a little siesta :) then we went out tonight to the beach and walked around the old ruins. It's amazing here how they have so many ruins and then apartments and open restaurants right along side of it all. Then to end the evening we shared a pizza on the plaza and enjoyed the atmosphere. The weather here in spain has been great. very humid but sunny which is always nice. Tomorrow we are hoping to see more of the old ruins and things built by the romans... and i think danny is just having fun remembering all the places and things he did in this city. I can tell by how much the people in this ward loved him that he really was a great missionary. I mean come on who can't love this guy!? Anyway it's well past midnight here and we should go to bed. So all in all it was a great Sunday and I am grateful for the chance we have to be here and danny said that he is so glad to see so many of the members doing well and loves being back in espania!!
