Running of the Bulls

Tuesday we headed to the bus station early in the morning and left all of our luggage in a locker at the station and took all of our pillows and blankets from the flight over, our two hoodies, and the clothes on our back and headed to pamplona on a bus. When we arrived it was awesome to see the ENTIRE city dressed up in their white and red! So it was a fun filled day of partying and then we got tickets to the bull fight... well this was unlike anything that Danny had seen before. Somehow we got tickets in the craziest section of the entire stadium! People were drinking sangria which is like a purple wine/orange juice thing anyway they had sprayers and cups and by half time our whole section was covered in Sangria!! then they broke out th food and everyone had brought olives, shrimp, rice, chips, mussels, clams, and all sorts of pass around food! It was super crazy! We made friends with the people around us which warned me when to put my camera away because we were going to get soaked with sangria! I even had some guy in front of us serenade me :) haha.. Well after the bull fight we went and hung out in the center and watched people dance the typical pamplona San Fermines dance and then went to the park to get some shut eye.. well it was FREEZING so we went inside the bus station and after half an hour they kicked us out so we went to find a spot along the bull run route and found the best spot at th beginning of the run. This was around 3:30 am and the whole place was still partying with concerts going on and everything. there were even little kids out and about. it was crazy! so later we made some more friends and we all huddled up and slept on the street and got the BEST spot ever! SO the running started at 8am you will have to see the video. it was a once in a lifetime thing. I think if we were to come back we would run next time. the street was FILLED with people! It looked super fun! anyway we had a great time watching for the 30 seconds that they ran past us :) then we hung out in pamplona for the day went to a bakery, marched with the band down the street and slept for a few hours in the park- and took the bus back to barcelona where we are now. Our hotel is super nice with a kitchen, FREE internet and everything but tomorrow we are checking out and driving to valencia. until tomorrow.. love you all
ps.. in case you were wondering...the bathroom facilities that were public were a big trailer that had stalls and the stalls were just holes in the floor! No way that I was going in there! So we found a restaurant that we snuck into to use their bathroom when it was super full. Usually you can only use their bathrooms if you are eating/drinking there but since there were so many people it was a crazy free for all! haha.

They had people create banners and had a parade with 10 banners, bands and excitement to get ready for the Bull Fight


Fresh Clams anyone? Yep.. everyone did pass around food.. It was YUMMY!

The after party stains.. yep we were SOAKED notice how wet my hair is!! Gross!! That's what I had to stay in for the next 24 hrs. It's all part of the experience right?!


Sleeping outside at night was a little cold so this is how we kept warm. We look like ninjas or something! haha!

Yes we went.. stayed up all night and partied, watched a bull fight, watched the bulls run, partied some more, slept in the park, took a bus back. It was awesome!
